Do take note of a pedestrian vehicle accident on the R21 direction south, just before the Highveld Engen filling station.
The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Freeway Officers, attended to a pedestrian vehicle accident in the Olifantsfontein area.
While conducting law enforcement, Officers received a complaint of an accident on the R21 direction south, just before the Engen filling station. Upon arrival, Officers found two (2) unknown pedestrians lying on the side of the road. It is alleged that the two pedestrians between the ages of twenty (20) and thirty (30) years, were crossing the freeway way unsafely and were hit by a truck. The driver of the truck sustained no injuries.
All five (5) lanes are temporarily closed, motorists are advised to approach the scene with caution and be patient. Alternatively off ramp on the R563 Mooderfontein Road.
