Ngqura Container Terminal is a deep-water container hub designed to support large-scale container operations and high-volume exports, including temperature-controlled cargo like citrus. With a transhipment capacity of over 1.5 million TEUs and more than 1,600 reefer plug points, its infrastructure helps position it as a strategic gateway for South African export trade.
During the 2025 citrus export season, Ngqura handled approximately 35% more citrus volume year on year, reflecting its expanding role in supporting strong export demand and improved operational performance.
