The driver of this light motor vehicle miraculously survived this accident but sustained serious injuries after colliding with a heavy goods truck at the corners of Nelson Mandela and Jac Van Rhyn during the early hours of this morning.
Jaws of life had to be used to free him from the wreckage before he was treated by advanced life support paramedics on scene.
He was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further care. The SAPS has opened an investigation into the cause of the accident.
