A collision occurred today, 7 December 2024, at approximately 09:00 on the N1 North, 44 kilometers outside Bloemfontein in the direction of Winburg. The incident involved a truck and a bakkie. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported at the scene.
Life EMS paramedics and VR Medical Ambulance services assessed the individuals involved. A patient from the bakkie sustained minor injuries and was transported to Life Rosepark Hospital for further medical care. The truck driver escaped without injury.
Glen SAPS officers attended the scene to investigate the incident, while Tau Pele Safety Officers, with their traffic control vehicle, ensured the safety of other road users. Traffic flow was managed effectively to minimize disruptions.
