Ekurhuleni Metro Police, in collaboration with various private security services, have seized a significant quantity of Schedule 5 and 6 medication suspected to be illegally sold and distributed.
This operation follows a series of investigations linked to business robberies reported since November last year, truck hijackings, and an attempted murder. Acting on intelligence, officers traced the syndicate to a residence in Du Plessis Street, Norkem Park.
At the scene, law enforcement recovered a large quantity of Ketamine, Pethidine, and Morphine, all classified as narcotic analgesics, as well as lithium batteries, inverters, and a substantial amount of cash.
Three male suspects, aged between 37 and 51, were apprehended as they were about to offload lithium batteries from a silver Mazda BT 50 and a white Toyota Hilux.
