MEC for Transport and Human Settlements Siboniso Duma has affirmed his commitment to work with KwaZulu-Natal Bus Council as part of accelerating the transformation of the bus transport sector.
He remarked: “In particular we want to ensure that at least 70% of the subsidised bus transport industry is in the hands of the previously disadvantaged individuals or groups here in this province. We will focus on training on financial management, fleet acquisition, maintenance and how to manage a bus business in an effective and sustainable way.”
