As part of Transport Month, Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) collaborated with Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager (TRIM) to conduct a level crossing safety awareness campaign across Carolina and Breyten in Ermelo, as well as Vryheid. The campaign aimed to reinforce critical rail safety messages and encourage responsible behaviour amongst both road and rail users.
Bringing together transport stakeholders, law enforcements, and local communities, the initiative focused on raising awareness about transport safety and preventing incidents at rail-road interfaces.
Through its participation, TFR reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives, enhancing safety awareness, and promoting a culture of shared responsibility among all transport users to ensure safer communities and a safer rail network.
