KwaZulu-Natal: At 04H50 Saturday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R603 mid-Illovo.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a truck lost control resulting in the crash.
The patient an adult male was assessed on scene by an Emergency Care Practitioner and found to have sustained serious injuries.
Due to the nature of his injuries, the Netcare 5 specialised helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift the patient to a specialist facility.
All necessary authorities were on scene.
