Members of SAPS Soweto K9, together with the Gauteng Traffic Police and Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (SC), received an alert from Tracker regarding a white Toyota Hilux that had been hijacked in Diepkloof.
Acting on the information, officers traced the last known coordinates of the tracking unit, where they found the chip unit abandoned.
Further investigation led the team to Orange Farm, Extension 2, where the stripped vehicle was recovered.
