Members of the Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (EC) and Gauteng Traffic Police were conducting patrols and stop-and-search operations in and around Elsburg when they received information from Car Track about a hijacked Hyundai H100 bakkie.
The vehicle had reportedly been hijacked in Rosettenville and was believed to be transporting a large quantity of copper.
Acting on the information, officers traced and recovered the stolen vehicle along Elsburg Heidelberg Road. One suspect was arrested.
