A Toyota Hino truck that was hijacked was recovered and two employees of a bread delivery company who were held hostage during the ordeal were located by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).
Reaction Officers received a call from Tracker reporting signals from the hijacked vehicle being received in an isolated area in Frazers, Tongaat. RUSA members proceeded to the location and recovered the truck and located the two victims.
They explained that while delivering bread at a local tuck shop they were accosted by occupants of a white VW Polo. The suspects produced firearms and forced the two into the truck. The truck was driven by one of the robbers to an isolated area. The gunmen fled empty-handed after they were disturbed.
Reaction Officers conducted a search for the suspects however no arrests were made.
