While on duty and patrolling around KwaTsaduza, Kathorus, and surrounding areas, the Gauteng Traffic Police and Gauteng Traffic Wardens (Saturation EC) were alerted by a motorist about an ongoing hijacking.
Responding swiftly to the given location, law enforcement officers spotted the suspected vehicle -a truck matching the provided description on the R550 Old Heidelberg Road.
The truck attempted to flee, leading to a high-speed pursuit. The truck was intercepted and recovered on the R103 with one male suspect apprehended.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered a firearm and tools believed to be used for stripping vehicles. One suspect was arrested.
