Four people were injured in a collision between a truck and a bakkie on the N3 eastbound about 500 metres before the Mariannhill toll plaza this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the bakkie in the emergency lane and the truck still on the road.
The driver of the bakkie and three other occupants were assessed and found to have sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
They were treated and transported to the hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
