Yesterday Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to Drakensburg road in Newcastle for reports of a collision.
When emergency services arrived they found that a vehicle had lost control and collided into a stationary truck.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that four patients had sustained serious injuries and one patient had sustained minor injuries.
The patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.
