Five people were injured after a Volvo truck and trailer over turned on the M65 in the vicinity of King Shaka International Airport – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorists. Upon arrival the truck and trailer was found lying on its side. One lane leading out of the airport was partially blocked resulting in traffic delays.
According to the driver the tanker was filled with water which was being transported to Ottawa in Verulam. As he cornered a sharp bend the truck tipped over onto its side.
The injured were treated on scene before being transported to Victoria Hospital.
