This morning (16 October 2021) at 06:15am, Meditech Emergency Response received numerous calls regarding a accident on the N3 westbound just after the Hammarsdale interchange.
Upon our paramedics arrival, it was found that a light motor vehicle had rear ended a truck, leaving the passenger of the car fatally injured, while the driver was found to have sustained life threatening injuries.
Meditech ER Paramedics stabilized the driver on the scene using advanced life support interventions and had to place the patient onto a mechanical ventilator before transporting them to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
