Two people have been killed in a taxi accident on the N3 Durban Bound near Pavillion just before 4am on Saturday.

ALS Paramedics Medical Services arrived on the scene on the N3 to find total carnage after a light motor vehicle and a taxi had collided before the taxi rolled multiple times coming to rest on its wheels. Two males from the taxi believed to be in their twenties had sustained major injuries and there was nothing more Paramedics could do for them and they both were declared deceased on the scene.

The national highway remained closed for some hours as a result of the horrific crash while authorities were investigating.

At this stage the events leading up to the accident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further
