This afternoon Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the St Faith’s road near Oshabeni, for reports of a collision.
When emergency services arrived they found that a truck and taxi had collided.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that 1 occupant sustained critical injuries and was entrapped. 15 further patients sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.
With the help of rescue services, the entrapped critical patient was stabilized and extricated. All the patients were treated on scene before being transported to hospital.
Sadly 2 occupants sustained fatal injuries and were deceased before emergency services arrived.
