On Friday 08 March 2024 at about 10:00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Bronberg Precinct Unit Officers, conducted by-law enforcement operations in the Crystal Park area.
The EMPD officers removed all posters and billboards affixed in obstruction of road traffic signals on intersections, stop signals and traffic control lights, in contravention of the National Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996). Thereafter, the Officers received a complaint of an illegally operated livestock trading business, where chickens and eggs were sold on the streets, allegedly unsound for human consumption.
On the officer’s arrival, it was discovered that there was compliance in storage, feeding and operating permit just a few corrections mended within By-Laws Regulations. The officers will revisit the business with the SPCA for full inspections.
