ECSA responded to reports of a truck collision on Ontdekkers Road in Helderkruin.
On arrival it was established that an Interlink Truck had lost control colliding with a street pole resulting in jack knifing over both directions of traffic on Ontdekkers Road.
Due to the impact the street light pole had obstructed a section of the roadway and a diesel spillage had occurred due a damaged diesel tank on the truck.
ECSA crews initiated scene safety on the scene.
Resources from Fidelity SecureFire were on scene to assist.
Resources from City Power, City Of Johannesburg Fire Department as well as Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department were also on scene to assist.
After a couple of hours the truck was safely recovered and the roadway cleared and re-opened again to traffic with assistance from a Rand Water TLB.
Fortunately no injuries were reported on the scene.
