A thirty-three-year-old male has been left with serious injuries following a collision involving a light delivery vehicle and a minibus taxi on the M25 Kwamashu Highway just after 07h00 on Sunday morning.

Emer-G-Med paramedics arrived on the scene to find the man entrapped in the minibus.

With the assistance of Netcare911 Emergency Care Practitioners he was treated and stabilized whilst Ethekwini Fire and Rescue services cut him free using the Jaws-of-life.

Once free he was placed onto a specialised stretcher used for the treatment and prevention of spinal cord injuries, and transported to a Lenmed hospital for further care.
