Vehicle tracking and fleet management specialist Ctrack by Inseego is pleased to announce that their new 360 degrees Fleet Monitoring Service are gaining momentum and delivering significant savings to subscribers. The service is a full outsource of fleet control room activities, where dedicated fleet controllers use telematics data to view, administer, manage and support all aspects of a company’s fleet around the clock.

Loubser Bulk Services, one of the leading bulk freight transporters in Sub-Saharan Africa, was one of the first subscribers. The company saved 4% on fuel costs within the first month of using the service, resulting in significant savings. This was achieved through Ctrack monitoring the speed of their fleet of 108 trucks and contacting drivers immediately from the Ctrack Call Centre whenever drivers exceeded the speed limit.

“We immediately saw results in improved fuel consumption, as well as with drivers driving safer and more responsible. These benefits align with our company’s vision of continuously enhancing the quality of service to our customers, suppliers, staff and community,” said Ganson Govender, Operations Manager of Loubser Bulk Services.

Ctrack’s Fleet Monitoring Service involves driver and real-time route monitoring and is backed by intelligent analytics and reporting for streamlining fleet operations. “In tough economic climates, it has become imperative for businesses to look for solutions that can reduce costs, increase efficiencies and eliminate risk. Ctrack subsequently recognised the need to complement its fleet management solution with a strategic outsourced fleet monitoring service for fleet owners,” said Hein Jordt, MD of Ctrack South Africa. This service works hand in hand with any new or existing Ctrack fleet management solution, giving customers increased benefit from their existing telematics systems.

Dedicated fleet controllers monitor vehicle movements, incidents, alarms and alerts from Ctrack’s 24/7 Support Centre. Along with monitoring drivers’ real-time behaviour and performance, they examine and interpret vehicle data to provide decision-making information to assist with future cost reduction and operational improvements. The service tracks events on a per driver, per vehicle and per trip basis, and fleet owners can access daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.

“Because all fleets are unique, we have made this service fully customisable to allow fleet owners to tailor-make a package that will save them money and fulfil their strategic goals,” concluded Jordt.
