Joint operation nets illegal cigarettes and drugs to an estimated value of R350 000.
On Thursday, Fidelity Specialised Intervention Unit (SIU), SAPS Provincial task team, Transnational Drug Trafficking and Gangs and SARS customs were involved in a tactical operation at a supermarket in Escombe, Malvern.
We received information from a registered informant regarding foreign nationals dealing in illicit cigarettes and drugs.
Upon searching the premises, 34 master cases of illicit cigarettes were found. Great work to all members involved in this.
