A collision between a light motor vehicle (LMV) and a truck occurred on the N8 highway, approximately 33 kilometres from Petrusburg towards Bloemfontein, on January 21, 2025, at around 00:20.
According to reports, the LMV collided with the truck. Both vehicles sustained damage, with debris, including plastic and glass, scattered across the road.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene, where they triaged patients. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.
Resources on the scene included SAPS, Petrusburg EMS Ambulances, and fire services.
Fortunately, the collision did not cause any obstruction to traffic flow, and the road remained open. No alternative routes were necessary.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is underway.
