The Station Commander Brigadier Ruth De Villiers applauds the team for acting swiftly on the information received. The establishment of this specialized team had the intended purpose which is to strategically address economic crimes such as theft of motor vehicles, theft out of motor vehicles and burglaries.
Police are urging residents not to purchase stolen property as this amounts to criminality, rather report this to Police. Police can effect arrests if you are found in possession of stolen property ultimately placing perpetrators before the Criminal Justice System.
