
IPSS Medical Rescue and IPSS Security responded to reports of a CIT in progress on the N2 between Mandeni and Gingindlovu.
One crew member was shot leaving him seriously injured, with the second lucky to escape with more minor injuries.
They were both stabilised on scene by IPSS Medical Advanced Life Support and have been transported to suitable facilities for further care.
The N2 is currently closed, with traffic being diverted on the R102 between Mandeni and Gingindlovu.
