
Around 19:30 on Thursday evening ALS Paramedics received numerous calls of yet another Cash in Transit attempted robbery and bombing this time on the N2 South Bound between Kwa Mashu and Nandi Drive.
Immediately Paramedics made their way and met with SAPS. Once safe medics entered the scene which was cornered off by SAPS. They found a cash in transit vehicle well alight.
They quickly assessed the Guards and found that fortunately they had escaped with only minor injuries. The Guards refused further treatment.
The entire N2 South Bound was closed due to the incident.
At this stage the events leading up to the robbery and explosion are not known however SAPS and all necessary authorities are on scene and will be investigating further.
