Four women were injured this morning after their vehicle crashed into a truck and rolled off the R547 at the Kinross and Kriel crossing near Secunda, Mpumalanga.
ER24 paramedics, along with provincial services, arrived on the scene and found the truck parked in the middle of the road while the wrecked light motor vehicle was found on the side of the road.
On assessment, paramedics found three women walking around on the scene while a fourth was found seated in the driver’s seat.
Paramedics carefully extricated the driver and assessed all the patients, finding that their injuries ranged from minor to moderate.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Evander hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the truck was assessed and found to have escaped injury.
Local authorities will be investigating this further.
