On N1 north of Polokwane City Bohlokwa area at Waterkuil road a Scarnia bus was speeding and lost control and crashed into an electric pole.
Three passengers died on the scene.
The driver sustained serious injuries and 52 passengers sustained slight injuries.
All patients were transported to hospitals.
