Transport MEC, Weziwe Tikana-Gxotiwe has hailed the joint operation by law enforcement officers from the 3 different spheres of government as a massive success that has potentially saved dozens of lives from any possible crashes over the long weekend.
“Their joint effort in keeping our roads safe is something we particularly commend. Their actions and commitment to the task at hand has certainly saved dozens of innocent lives from harm including that of offenders from any self-inflicted harm. We’re proud of them,” said Tikana.
This exercise is one of the build-up operations to the October Transport Month operations as we gear up for the Festive Season. This success comes hot on the heels of another huge success last weekend when *89* Drunken Drivers were arrested in the same area.
