The South African Association for Fleet Professionals (AFP) is proud to host their inaugural Colloquium during the month of May. It will be the first of many events that the organisation will host specifically designed for fleet managers and the challenges and opportunities they face within their role.
The President of the AFP, Eugene Herbert, says the theme selected for the colloquium is ‘Navigating the Future: Strategic Insights for Tomorrow’s Fleet Professionals powered by MasterDrive.’ Herbert expands: “In an era of technological transformation and evolving business, fleet management is a more complex and, consequently, critical sector to prioritise.
“The upcoming AFP Colloquium will shed light on several topics related to this theme. It will bring industry experts together to unpack strategic and successful approaches to fleet operations in the current environment while paying attention to potential future developments that will have a significant impact on operations,” says Herbert.
The AFP is proud to welcome the following speakers and panellists:
Keynote presentation
- Winstone Jordaan, the Founder and Managing Director of GridCars, will address ‘Electrification Revolution: How EV Infrastructure is Transforming Fleet Operations and Sustainability.’
Panellists will address how to ‘Build Resilient Fleet Operations: Innovation, Compliance, and Efficiency.’
- Gavin Kelly, Chief Executive Officer at Road Freight Association (RFA), will address future trends in road freight that fleet managers should prepare for today
- Bobby Shemmans, Occupational Health and Safety Consultant, will speak about creating sustainable safety cultures within fleet operations
- Jonathan Mphake, a Supply Chain and Fleet Management Expert, will share information on technology implementation success stories and lessons learned
- Mpho Chokwe, Santam Underwriting Head: Retail Motor Fleet Solutions, will illustrate how fleet operators can leverage insurance data to build more resilient operations
- Graham Eagle, Auto Industry Consultant – Former OEM (Importer) VP and CEO, will speak about vehicle procurement strategies for modern fleet operations
- Rob Sansom, National Outbound Logistics Manager at AfriSam, will provide practical approaches to innovation in established fleet operations
During the colloquium an initiative that has come to be highly anticipated on the calendars of road safety professionals will also be launched. “This initiative is highly anticipated by organisations and fleet managers alike. Those that value the promotion of road safety derive the greatest benefit from this initiative making the inaugural Colloquium an ideal opportunity to launch it.
