Jeffreys Bay: A bakery truck was robbed of cash after two men armed with firearms driving a Hyundai Accent forced it off the road on N2 near Jeffreys Bay today.
On Friday, 27 April 2018 around 05:00, a driver of a bakery truck and his assistant alleged that while driving on N2 near Jeffreys Bay, two men in a Hyundai Accent pointed them with firearms and forced them off the road. It is said that the two suspects forced the victims out of the truck before opening the safe with force.
The suspects stole cash and the victims’ cellphones before fleeing in the Hyundai Accent. A truck that was heading to Port Elizabeth had to drive to Thornhill Police Station to report the robbery incident. The suspects are still at large, and anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects is urged to contact the nearest police station or Crime Stop 08600 10111.
