Awareness Campaign conducted by JMPD, JRA, EMS, Department of Transport and Community Safety focused on trucks using Doreen and Hendrick Potgieter Road in Roodepoort.
The Doreen Road route between Roodekrans and Ruimsig comes with a five-ton weight limit for vehicles traveling down the steep hill.
Education and issuing fines were the order of the day.
Truck Drivers were instructed not to use Doreen Road just after Hendrick Potgieter to prevent rollovers and accidents
JRA Engineers will be maintaining signages at Doreen Road going forward.
