Just after 07:15am this morning ALS Paramedics responded to a serious multiple-vehicle collision on Old Dutch Road before Warwick Avenue in Durban CBD.

On arrival Paramedics found chaos as they found that a Truck, Bus, two cars and three taxis had collided leaving multiple people injured. Immediately more Ambulances and Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched to assist.

A triage was done and approximately twelve people had sustained various injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Once stabilized on the scene all of the injured were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

Traffic was severely affected whilst emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS and Metro Police were in attendance and will be investigating further.
