A truck toppled over after one of its tires apparently burst. It came to a standstill on it’s side next to the road on the N9 between Herold and Uniondale earlier this morning, Monday 3 June.
Fortunately no injuries were reported and the road is open to traffic. Motorists are however asked to take caution when driving in the area.
The Outeniqua Pass between George and Waboomskraal is wet after the good rains the area experienced over the last two days. Drivers are asked to please take extreme caution when traveling on the pass.
Meiringspoort has also been opened for traffic in both lanes, but motorists are asked to drive slowly as low water bridges and parts of the road are covered in mud.
