Motorists approaching the Nelson Mandela Drive, R101, Campbell, Thabo Mbeki and Grobler intersection/circle are urged to approach with extreme caution.
A truck loaded with tomatoes has overturned on the side coming from Nelson Mandela Drive, leaving one lane closed and tomatoes rolling all over the road.
Our traffic officers are already on scene managing the situation and working to keep traffic moving safely.
So, motorists, please slow down, keep your eyes on the road and resist the temptation to turn this into a tomato-picking expedition.
Expect delays. Approach cautiously. Follow the instructions of traffic officers.
Because today, Nelson Mandela Drive has apparently decided to serve motorists a fresh tomato salad with traffic included.
And finally, if these photos find their way onto your timeline, please don’t let our photographer’s hard work become the only thing that doesn’t get picked up at the scene. Kindly give credit where the camera clicked
