Three people have sustained serious injuries following a heavy motor vehicle crash on the N2 freeway between Sibaya and Umhloti on Wednesday morning.
KZN VIP Emergency Medical teams, together with their Advanced Life Support (ALS) medics, were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency teams were met with a serious crash scene where three patients required urgent medical attention. The injured were stabilised and closely monitored on scene and transported under the care of KZNVIP Advanced Life Support Medics.
Following stabilisation, all three patients were transported to appropriate medical facilities for the further medical care they required.
🚧 MOTORISTS PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
The N2 has been obstructed following the crash, and delays are expected while emergency services and recovery teams work to safely clear the scene. Motorists travelling through the area are urged to approach with caution.
The circumstances leading up to the collision cannot be confirmed at this stage. All relevant emergency services are in attendance.
