Motor vehicle accident occurred on the N7 near Tweefontein Farm involving 2 heavy motor vehicles and 1 light delivery vehicle.
According to the driver of the light delivery vehicle, the bakkie was parked in front of a small HMV while gearbox repairs were being carried out. A PPC heavy motor vehicle then struck the small
HMV from the side, pushing it into the barrier. The impact forced the parked bakkie over the railing and into the ditch.
The driver of the PPC HMV stated he fell asleep behind the wheel. However the co-driver reported that the driver was on his phone at the time of the incident.
All emergency personnel are on scene. No serious injuries were reported, with only one code orange patient. One lane is closed for scene cleanup, and the other lane remains open for traffic flow.
