SAPS in the OR Tambo District have continued their efforts to fight crime, recovering two suspected stolen vehicles and an unlicensed firearm, while arresting a 40 year old woman during separate operations.
During the operation, a 40 year old female suspect, believed to be the girlfriend of the wanted man, was found in possession of an unlicensed 9mm Norinco pistol with two rounds of live ammunition at the identified homestead.
Further investigation revealed that the firearm was reported stolen in a 2018 case registered in Polokwane. The suspect was arrested on the scene and is expected to appear soon in the Mthatha Magistrate’s Court on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
