The eThekwini Transport Authority, with Metro Police, Fire Department, KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport, SAPS and AARTO, conducted a targeted enforcement operation along the M7.
The initiative focused on raising awareness, improving compliance, and assessing conditions on this key freight route to Durban Harbour.
As part of the eThekwini Municipality Road Safety Plan (2022-2026), the operation targeted freight vehicles due to crashes linked to speeding, overloading, and unroadworthy conditions.
Ongoing enforcement will continue to promote safer roads for all.
