One person was seriously injured following a single vehicle collision at the intersection of the M25 and North Coast Road this afternoon.
KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene to find that a truck had lost control, overturned, and crashed into the concrete barriers, leaving the patient entrapped inside the vehicle.
KZN VIP Emergency Medical teams worked swiftly to free the entrapped patient and immediately began advanced medical stabilisation. The patient sustained life-threatening injuries and was rapidly transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment.
The exact circumstances leading up to the crash cannot be confirmed at this stage. No other vehicles were involved and no fatalities were reported. Traffic in the area was severely affected during emergency operations.
