According to authorities at the scene, a truck allegedly veered off the road near Dias Circle in Walvis Bay, just past the turnoff to the Dunes mall, after the driver suddenly braked to avoid colliding with a car in front of him.
The truck ultimately left the road and landed on top of a palm tree. Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported. Officials say the driver’s quick thinking helped prevent what could have been a far more dangerous situation.
