With flooded roads and challenging accessibility, Gift of the Givers teams were successfully able to reach the stranded community of Covid-19 Informal Settlement in Mfuleni, in the Western Cape.
The community, who were cut off for days, welcomed our team with prayers, smiles and dance.
They lined up in their thousands, patiently awaiting their turn to receive hot meals, blankets, warm hats and hygiene packs.
