Early this morning, Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the R69 near Gluckstadt for report of a collision.
When emergency services arrived they found that a truck had lost control and overturned.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that 1 patient had sustained serious injuries, and was trapped in the crumpled truck.
Together with EMRS rescue and Kwazulu Private rescue, Paramedics work for 2 hours to extricate the patient, using specialized rescue tools.
The patient was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
