At around 5am this morning, Mi7 Emergency Medical Services received reports of a serious bus accident just outside Richmond. Multiple teams were dispatched to the scene, where paramedics found the vehicle had overturned.
With a large number of passengers involved, emergency personnel from various service providers immediately began triaging those on board. A total of 21 people were found to have sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Mi7 EMS and their counterparts from other service providers treated and stabilised the injured at the scene before transporting them to various hospitals for further care.
A further 12 passengers escaped the accident without injury and remained at the scene awaiting alternative transportation.
