A silver Toyota Corolla collided with a Mercedes Benz Atego truck in the southbound lane of the R102 in the vicinity of Ottawa – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene.
On arrival, it was established that the truck had experienced mechanical failure and was being repaired in the emergency lane.
According to the driver of the Toyota Corolla, a vehicle veered into his lane forcing him into the emergency lane when he collided with the rear of the truck.
No injuries were reported.
