The communities of Meva Township near Alice, Qawukeni on the N2 near King Williams Town, and Zwide Location in Fort Beaufort have been facing dire water shortages with no access to running water from municipal taps for an extended period.
Upon receiving urgent requests for assistance, our team swiftly responded by sending water tankers filled with clean, fresh water to these areas. In Meva Township, residents gathered with big blue water drums, wheelbarrows, and buckets to collect water from our tankers, ensuring access to this essential resource.
Similarly, in Qawukeni and Zwide Location, community members came out in numbers with containers of all sizes to collect drinking water provided by our team.
These areas have been neglected, with water tankers rarely visiting to assist the needy community.
