
Netcare 911 responded to a collision on the N2 South Bound after the M7 in Ridgeview, Durban South.
Reports indicate that two trucks were involved in a rear-end collision.
On scene was the SAPS, Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services, Durban Metropolitan Police Services and ALS Paramedics.
When medics assessed the scene, they found two adult males from the rear truck who had sustained serious injuries.
The fire and rescue services with a Netcare 911 Rescue technician were forced to use hydraulic tools to free the occupants who were trapped from the waist down.
Both patients were treated on scene by advanced life support paramedics.
The truck driver of the front had sustained minor injuries.
Once stabilised all the patients were transported by ambulance to hospital for further care.
