A MAN Diesel truck overturned on the north bound lane of the M41 in Mt. Edgecombe shortly after exiting the N2 this morning.
A approximately 07:05 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorists reporting the accident. Upon arrival the truck and trailer was found lying on its side. The driver was being treated for moderate injuries by paramedics from a private ambulance service and was later transported to hospital for further medical attention. The truck was loaded with a shipping container containing frozen chicken. It had left Clairwood in Durban and was on route to a distribution centre near King Shaka International Airport when the accident occurred.
Traffic was delayed due to the overturned vehicle blocking two lanes of the M41.
