Road closure alert: 24 March 2025
There will be a temporary road closure on the N1 between Edenburg and Tromsburg. The closure is expected to last around 4 hours due to an accident involving an overturned Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) between Trompsburg and Edenburg.
To manage the closure, traffic diversions will be implemented:
– Southbound Traffic: Will be diverted at Edenburg to take R717 until Trompsburg.
– Northbound Traffic: Will be diverted at Trompsburg on the same route until Edenburg.
Recovery of the overturned HMV is scheduled for today from 07:00. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
